Advanced Behavioral Care Services provides adult outpatient behavioral health services in NJ from one licensed facility in Toms River, serving Ocean, Monmouth, Burlington, and Atlantic Counties. There are two distinct programs: outpatient mental health by day, and substance use treatment in the evening.
The Center is a Partial Care day program for adults whose primary need is mental health, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorders, delusional disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and affective disorders, including an embedded MICA track for co-occurring substance use. It runs Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with free transportation, coverage varies by location, daily catered meals, and on-site psychiatric evaluation and medication management.
Substance Use Services is an evening program for adults whose primary need is substance use disorder: Intensive Outpatient (IOP) on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings, and Outpatient (OP) on Wednesdays.
Both programs accept every form of Medicaid and NJ FamilyCare plus major commercial plans, and neither runs a waiting list.

For adults with depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or co-occurring (MICA) conditions where mental health is primary. Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Free transportation to Partial Care, 4 counties, coverage varies by location. On-site psychiatric evaluation and medication management. No waiting list, 24-hour admission.
Substance Use Services
For adults with substance use disorder, with or without co-occurring mental health conditions, including court-involved treatment. IOP: Mon, Tue, Wed evenings, 5:30 to 8:45 PM. OP: Wed, 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Built for working adults. Daily intakes, walk-ins welcome.
